Reptile Corner Online Shopping is a safe and convenient way to shop for reptile and exotic pet products over the internet, without leaving the comfort of your own home or office. You can even shop by phone or email. Browsing the catalogue is quick and easy, as is the search facility. Products are displayed with pictures, some pictures are however guides to represent the actual product. You decide when and where you want your products delivered. You can have multiple delivery addresses: your home, your office etc. We have designed a picking and delivery system that ensures that your order arrives at your front door in the same condition as it left our shelves. Purchases made from the Site are subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, to the exclusion of all other terms. Reptile Corner reserves the right to amend this Agreement from time to time. Any such amendments will take effect immediately on posting of the amended Agreement on the Site.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to Reptile Corner and therefore any information you provide to us is stored on a secure server. You agree that Reptile Corner may use your information to contact you about promotions and special offers. However, you are entitled, at any stage, to opt out of this service, by clicking on the “opt out” option on the email correspondence, by emailing us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . We do not sell or rent personal information about individual members (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to third parties. Reptile Corner does however reserve the right to disclose aggregated information regarding its members and usage of the Online Shopping Site (such as member demographics and traffic patterns) to, amongst others, advertisers and suppliers. Reptile Corner may disclose personal information in response to a specific request by a law enforcement agency, subpoena, court order, or as otherwise required by law.
Pricing Policy
Prices are subject to change, these changes will take effect immediately on the site and previous transaction prices will not be used in future transactions. The Delivery Charges will also be shown on the invoice as a separate item.
Payment
Payments are strictly EFT or direct bank deposit for first orders especially. Further dealings can be arranged for cash on delivery/collection once approved by the accounts department.
Stock Availability
Reptile Corner cannot always guarantee availability of stock. Should we for any reason be unable to supply a particular item, we will confirm and deliver a suitable substitute where possible, except where you have elected not to receive such substitute products. If we are unable to supply each and every item ordered or in the quantities ordered, you nevertheless agree to accept delivery and make payment for the items correctly delivered
Confirmation of Orders
Orders received online will be processed by the Online Shopping store, responsible for processing and delivery of your order. Orders placed on the Site constitute your offer to purchase subject to this Agreement. Your offer will be deemed to have been accepted upon receipt and acceptance of your order by your Online Shopping Store unless otherwise notified. Failure to formally confirm or notify acceptance shall not affect the validity of the contract or the enforceability thereof by Reptile Corner.
Delivery Policy
Delivery is subject to the availability of a delivery timeslot and the relevant cut-off times. You are required to select the delivery address to which an order is to be delivered, before you are able to shop. If you wish to change the delivery address at any time prior to the scheduled time and date for delivery, you should contact us by email or by calling us. Although every effort will be made to accommodate your request, we cannot guarantee delivery to the alternative delivery address within the same Delivery Slot. Each delivery is subject to a delivery charge which may be amended by Reptile Corner from time to time. On delivery of the order to the specified delivery address, you will receive a Reptile Corner invoice showing the items delivered, any substitute items, any non-available items and the delivery charges
Our delivery times are:
o Monday to Friday 9am – 7pm
o Saturday 9am – 5pm
o There are limited deliveries on Sundays or Public Holidays.
For verification purposes, our Delivery Team will be entitled to require the person accepting delivery at the delivery address to produce a form of identification. Any person other than yourself who receives the goods at the delivery address is conclusively presumed to be authorised to accept delivery on your behalf. Should no one be in attendance at the time of delivery, the goods will be returned to us and a notice will be left at the delivery address to this effect. You will be required to contact us to make new arrangements for delivery or collection. Reptile Corner reserves the right to charge an additional Delivery Fee should it be required to make a further delivery if no one is at the delivery address to receive the goods during the agreed Delivery Slot. Reptile Corner's liability for failing to deliver the goods during the agreed Delivery Slot, or at all, is limited to the goods being delivered at a later agreed time at no additional charge. You are required to ensure that you or an authorised person shall be in attendance at the delivery address during the agreed Delivery Slot and that appropriate access will be made available to the Delivery Team. On delivery, the person accepting delivery shall be required to sign and print his/her name on the accompanying invoice, to confirm receipt of the delivery. Should you require us to make delivery to any person or address other than a registered delivery address, for instance, a neighbour, we cannot be held liable for any loss or damage suffered by you or for any discrepancy in the order
Returns Policy
Unfortunately due to the nature of most of the products many of them carry a limited guarantees or warranty. Light bulbs, electronics and livestock unfortunately are non returnable and carry no guarantee or warranty. Due to the fragile nature of these products and the uncertainty of damage caused by external factors we have to adhere to this. The light will be tested prior to dispatch and a date of test will be written on box. If a product is returned and there is no replacement available the amount will be credited towards your next order.
Cancellation
If for any reason you would like to cancel an order this may be done by contacting us telephonically. Cancellations will be accepted with 48hr notice prior to your chosen Delivery Slot. If you cancel your payment for any reason or if your card should cease to be valid for whatever reason, you will nevertheless be bound to pay to Reptile Corner the full purchase price, including all costs incurred by Reptile Corner relating to the recovery thereof. Without prejudice to any other rights or remedies in law, Reptile Corner shall be entitled to cancel forthwith any sale and/or or your registration if you should breach any of your obligations.
Risk and Ownership
Risk in the goods shall pass to you upon delivery at the delivery address or to your agent appointed to accept delivery on your behalf, if for instance you should not be available to take delivery at the delivery address. Until payment is received in full for any goods sold, ownership in the goods shall remain with Reptile Corner and such goods shall be returned and/or surrendered to Reptile Corner following receipt of a default notice from Reptile Corner.
Intellectual Property
Reptile Corner retains all intellectual property rights in all material, including logos and other graphics which form part of the Reptile Corner Online Shopping website, save in respect of those trademarks, trade names and logos owned by suppliers of Reptile Corner whose goods are sold via the Reptile Corner website, Reptile Corner Online Shopping and Reptile Corner Entertaining Online. All data and information communicated to or from the Site and/or any site information and database(s), remain and shall be the sole property of Reptile Corner. Reptile Corner grants you permission to view, electronically copy and print in hard copy portions of the Online Shopping Site for the sole purpose of placing an order with Reptile Corner, for your personal use only. Any other use of materials on the Reptile Corner website, including a reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, modification, distribution or reproduction, without the prior written consent of Reptile Corner and/or the lawful trademark and/or copyright owner (if applicable) is strictly prohibited and constitutes an unlawful infringement of the intellectual property rights of Reptile Corner and/or such trademark and/or copyright owner

You shall not interpret such hyperlinking as constituting any relationship between Reptile Corner and any linked third party or any endorsement by Reptile Corner of such third party. Use of or reliance on any external links provided is at your own risk. Advertising and other promotional material will appear on the Reptile Corner website from time to time. You shall not interpret such advertising or promotional material as constituting any relationship between Reptile Corner and any third party or any endorsement by Reptile Corner of such third party. Use of or reliance on any such material is entirely at your own risk.

You expressly agree that use of the Online Shopping Site and the Internet is entirely at your own risk. The Online Shopping Site and its contents are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and Reptile Corner makes no representations or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation with respect to the Online Shopping Site, its contents, the accuracy thereof, or any warranties or representations regarding the effectiveness of any security or encryption facilities or with regard to the availability of products and/or delivery arrangements and times. Reptile Corner disclaims all representations and warranties, including but not limited to warranties as to the availability, accuracy or content of information, products or services, and warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of information, goods or services. Reptile Corner does not warrant that the functions provided by the Online Shopping Site will be uninterrupted or error free, or that the Online Shopping Site or the server that makes it available are free from viruses or other harmful components. Save as expressly set out herein, Reptile Corner shall under no circumstances whatsoever be liable to you, including without limitation, as a result of or in connection with Reptile Corner's negligent (including grossly negligent) acts or omissions or those of its employees, agents or designees or other persons for whom in law it may be liable (in whose favour this constitutes a contract or undertaking for their benefit), for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever or howsoever caused (whether arising under contract, delict or otherwise and whether the loss was actually foreseen or reasonably foreseeable), sustained by you, the recipient of the goods, or any other person arising from or as a result of any sale concluded in terms of this Agreement, the delivery, non-delivery, incorrect, erroneous or late delivery, the use, possession or consumption of the goods or the use or reliance upon the Online Shopping Site (including any information contained thereon) or the Internet. You will indemnify us and keep us fully indemnified from and against any loss or damage suffered or liability incurred, including without limitation in respect of any claim or demand by any third party by reason of any act or omission on your part or that of any family member, agent or representative acting on your behalf in connection with transactions concluded on the Site and/or in terms of this Agreement and/or in relation to receipt of goods supplied by us pursuant to any such order. Notwithstanding any other provisions contained herein, Reptile Corner's liability whether in contract or delict arising from any breach of any obligation in terms of this Agreement, negligence or otherwise shall not exceed at any time more than double the monetary value of the order in respect of which any such dispute or claim arises.
General Terms
The content contained on the Online Shopping Site may be used by you for your own personal, non-commercial shopping and information purposes only. In using the Site you agree not to infect it with any computer programming (such as a virus) that may damage, interfere with, delay or intercept any data or information on the Site and you shall indemnify Reptile Corner for any damage caused by any such act attributable to you. Reptile Corner may suspend the Site or any part thereof or terminate your account at any time if Reptile Corner should determine that the Site is not being used by you in compliance with this Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the whole agreement between the parties relating to the subject matter hereof. If any provision of this Agreement is rendered void, illegal or unenforceable in any respect under any law it shall be severable from this Agreement, and the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby and the parties shall endeavour in good faith to agree an alternative provision to the void, illegal or unenforceable provision. Any indulgence of extension of time granted by us to you shall not be construed as a waiver or variation of any of our rights or remedies. At the option of Reptile Corner, any dispute arising out of the Agreement may be brought in any Magistrates' Court of competent jurisdiction notwithstanding that the amount in issue may exceed the jurisdiction of such court. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
